3) type powershell > Tick Create this task with administrative privileges option and then click OK.

4) Type sfc /scannow > Enter.

Method 8: Reinstall Cortana

1. Open powershell using Method 8 with admin rights.

2. Copy and paste the following command > Enter.

Try only one command. If the 1st command is not working then try the 2nd command.

Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMo

or

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

4) Now Cortana is reinstalled, and your Start menu should work now.
