  • Poor Power Supply:– Maybe your Laptop battery is damaged, or your house plug is not well through which you connected your Computer. Poor supply of electricity may cause to reboot issue.

1. Disable fast startup using Windows Settings

There are many chances that by using this method your issue of Restarts After Shutting Down will be fixed.

Most of the peoples told that after using “Disable Fast Startup Feature” the issue of “Restarts After Shutting Down” is fixed. Follow the steps carefully to disable this feature:

Step 1:- Click on the Windows Button and Type Windows Setting. The Windows Setting will appear, click on it.

Step 2:- Now, Click on Systems from Windows Setting.

Step 3:- Now, Under the System click on the Power and Sleep option, and after that click on Additional Power Setting.

Step 4:- Now, click on the Choose what the power button does Option from the left side, in the Additional Power setting.

Step 5:- After that click on the Change settings that are currently unavailable, shown in the image.

Step 6:- Now, under the Unknown Setting, remove the “Turn on fast startup” selection and then click on the Save Changes.

Step 7:- Now, the last and final step is to Reboot windows 10 to check whether the issue was fixed or not.

2. Turn off fast startup via Registry Editor

We can also turn off the fast startup feature through the Registry editor also.  You can change the settings in the Registry editor which makes it a more working and efficient way.

Step 1:- First of all, press Windows key + R both the keys together, one window will pop-up.

Step 2:- Now, here type regedit and then press Enter to open Registry Editor.

Step 3:- Now. Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE option which is available on the left side. The submenus will appear from this submenu click on System.

Step 4:- Now follow this procedure in the System Menu CurrentControlSet > Control > SessionManager > Power.

Step 5:- Now, double click on HyberbootEnabled to open it and set its value to 0 after that click OK.

3. Update Corrupt Drivers

If still, your system is restarting after shutting down then, it may be due to the corrupt drivers. Follow the process to update it.

Step 1:- Open Computer Settings > Double click on Update and System.

Step 2:- Now, search select Windows Update from the left side.

Step 3:- Now, the final step is, click on Check for Update for getting updated version.

4. Check Power Issues

Sometimes the computer or laptop starts restarting due to the bad power supply or battery. For testing it, you have to run the Power Efficiency Diagnostics Report.

Step 1:- Run the Window and here type cmd to open the Command Prompt.

Step2:- Type this cmd

powercfg -energy -output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\Power_Efficiency_Diagnostics_Report.html

Step 3:- It will start searching for errors, and after that, it will save the file on the desktop by the file name open it, Power_Efficiency_Diagnostics_Report.html file on your desktop.

Step 4:- When you click on that file, the report will open in the browser, and all the errors are listed in it.
