How to solve Photoshop CC Installation Failed
Now the problem is, Adobe photoshop users are facing some serious issues with Windows 10. So many Windows users have reported this issue after the new update.
Method 1: Run Setup in Compatibility Mode
In this method, we will run the Adobe Photoshop installation setup file in compatibility mode. Windows allows the users to run or execute a certain program in compatibility mode for previous Windows versions. This enables the execution of applications that were meant for previous versions of Windows to run on later versions as well. This compatibility mode can also be used to troubleshoot installation errors and has been reported to work by many users.
Step 1: Go to the network and Internet Settings using this path. Open file explorer > paste this path to the navigation bar:
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center
Step 2: Now click on the adapter settings from the left pane.
Step 3: Now right-click on the network adapter > disable.
Step 4: Now open the file explorer again and then paste this path to the navigation bar > press enter.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\HDBox
Step 5: Right-click on the setup > properties > compatibility > click the checkbox ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ > select Windows 8 > Apply. Follow the same process for setup.exe and set-up.exe files.
Step 6: Now go to this path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\ADS
Run the app in compatibility mode (follow the same steps to access compatibility settings)
Now rerun photoshop and check if you are still facing the same issue again or not.
Method 2: Change the Photoshop Installation Settings
Sometimes due to wrong photoshop installation settings, you can face this issue. Here is how you can configure photoshop installation settings in application.xml. Note that photoshop application.xml file make sure that your system has all the requirements to run a photoshop application. But sometimes, due to a corrupted application.xml file, you will face issues. Repairing this XML file will fix all major problems with photoshop.
Step 1: Open a folder that contains photoshop installation files which is the Products folder. You can find the application.xml file in the PPRO folder. Right-click on that XML file > choose open with notepad.
Step 2: Find the “system” word and keep searching until you find this code.
Step 3: Open Run command box > enter winver > enter.
Step 4: Now check your current Windows version > replace it in the application.xml file and save it.
Step 5: Now find the below code with minOSVersion search > replace your Windows version here too.
Step 6: Save changes, and you are done.
