192.168.1.1 Login Page, Username, Password and Router Setup

What is the IP address 192.168.1.1?

192.168.1.1 is the IP address to access the Wifi modem – which can change the parameters and network settings so that the internet can work better. This is the default IP address of all wireless routers and modems on the market today.

However, there are many router manufacturers out there and they all have a different IP address for login including 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 and 10.0.0.1.

How to use192.168.1.1 IP Address for Login?

To access your router, you need to connect your computer or phone, tablet with the modem via Wifi or LAN port.

Step 1: Open a Web browser and enter https://192.168.1.1 or https://192.168.0.1 and https://10.0.0.1.

Step 2: Now you have to Enter the default username and password for your Router which is:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: password or admin

In case you do not remember Router username and password details, then check your Router. You can find it there. If you have changed Router Password then you have to reset it.

The common and default IP Address is 192.168.1.1, but sometimes we change it during the installation and if we forget then how we can find because this IP addresses very much required if you want to change some settings in your Router. Okay, so just follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the start menu and type CMD in the search bar.

Step 2: Now type “ipconfig”.

Step 3: Find Default Gateway and note down the IP. This is the default Router IP Address.

How to Change Router Password

If you want to keep your Router safe and secure then you have to change Router Password. All you need to do is, access admin page > advanced settings > Router Admin > Password > and change password save.

How to Change WiFi Password in Router

Step 1: Log in to your Router with Default username and password.

Step 2: Once done, go to Router admin page and then go to Wireless and then go to Wireless Security.

Step 3: Select WPA/WPA2 Security Settings. Now choose Authentication type WPA2-PSK.

Step 4: Enter Password in the wireless password field and click on save.

What to do if you forgot your router username and password?

If you have changed the default username and password as we said above, you have to reset your Router to Default Settings.

Step 1: Press and keep holding the reset button for at least 10 seconds.

Step 2: Wait for the device to reboot. Once done, you can log in with the default username and password.

Step 3: Change the IP address 192.168.1.1 to avoid conflicts

Step 4: If two devices have the same IP address is plugged into the network, it will lead to IP Conflict.

Step 5: So you have to change your Router IP Address.

Step 6: Go to Router Login page > Network and then go to LAN Settings.

Step 7: Then Enter the new IP Address which is unique.

  • 192.168.2.1

Step 8: You have to change only the 3rd number. Once done, save settings and its done.

Example: Tenda wifi device with an IP address default is 192.168.0.1. If you plug in the network address range 192.168.0.x/24, it will automatically detect the conflict. So you have to change the IP Address of the connected devices which has the same IP Address.
